HISTORY of
WRIGHT AND KNIGHT Wright and Knight opened in April, 1947 as a full service automobile dealership, featuring Dodge, Plymouth, DeSoto cars and International trucks. In the 1950's, it ceased to be a dealership, and the facility was purchased by 2 partners, Paul Malan and John Spieler. They operated it, under the same name, mostly as a general auto repair shop as well as a California Smog Test Station, however Wright and Knight did sell new cars a few more times through the years. After the retirements of Paul and John, it was managed by their sons, Joe Spieler and David Malan. Currently it is managed solely by David. Below is a photo collection dating back to 1947: |
